Executive Leadership Team
Vikram Anenden - CEO
BEng (Aerospace), MEcon (Energy), Charter M&A/ Valuation (IMAA), MAICD
Vikram Anenden is the Chief Executive Officer of Fourth Matter, where he is driving a new generation of energy technologies that redefine how clean hydrogen and critical materials are produced.
With more than two decades of experience at the intersection of energy economics, commercial strategy, and engineering, Vikram has built a career translating complex technical innovation into commercially viable industrial solutions. His work has spanned state-owned energy utilities, engineering organisations, corporate advisory, and investment, providing a unique perspective on the economic, regulatory, and technological forces shaping the global energy transition.
Vikram advocates for technologies that deliver both environmental and commercial outcomes. He believes the future of energy will be defined not by compromise, but by innovation that creates cleaner processes, resilient supply chains, and stronger industrial competitiveness.
Under his leadership, Fourth Matter is pioneering advanced plasma technologies that convert methane into two strategic products—low-emission hydrogen and high-performance synthetic graphite. This dual-value approach has the potential to reduce industrial emissions while strengthening sovereign capability in critical materials essential for batteries, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation energy systems.
Vikram’s vision extends beyond technology development. He is committed to building an Australian company with global impact—one that reshapes how the world thinks about energy security.
“The energy transition will be led by technologies that are commercially compelling, technically proven, and capable of delivering measurable impact. Fourth Matter exists to make that innovation possible.”
